TetraGear Lights – Kickstarter Campaign

The TetraGear Lights are a special situation where a project created for one individual – in this case, a person with a disability – has been recognized as something that could help many others as well – anyone who rides a bike or uses a baby stroller. In order to create the capacity to mass produce this device and make it available to all that would benefit from it, Tetra needs pre-orders. Please help Tetra to achieve their goal by considering this device for your own safety or the safety of a loved one.

Tetra launched a Kickstarter campaign for our TetraGear Lights two weeks ago. The goal is to raise $70,000 via pre-orders to help us to go into large-scale production and get these wonderful safety devices onto as many wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, recumbent bikes, handcycles, bike strollers, as possible. We’ve even mounted a few sets onto regular bikes and have had very positive feedback.

We have until May 25 to reach our target, any assistance you could provide would be very much appreciated.

About Tetra Society

The Tetra Society uses volunteers to create custom assistive devices for persons with disabilities. Volunteers are typically engineers or other skilled individuals that donate their time to make devices that will make a difference in other people’s lives. Tetra projects are devices that would not be commercially available and the volunteer works closely with the individual to design and build a device unique to their needs. Tetra is a not-for-profit organization with chapters across Canada and the United States. Contact them today if a custom device would make a difference in your life or if you would like to be a volunteer and make a difference in the lives of others. Find your closest chapter at
